High Performance Embedded Graphics Solutions

ALT Software provides high performance embedded display drivers and other graphics enabling tools to Tier 1 automotive and aftermarket device manufacturers. Our products and services address the requirements of next-generation automotive display technologies such as video, 2D/3D mapping, reconfigurable instrument clusters, infotainment and dual-view displays. Our software solutions support a broad range of operating system, CPU and GPU configurations and include OpenGL ES and OpenVG graphics libraries as well as support for popular automotive HMI development tools such as Quantum 3D iData, Wind River Tilcon, and Nokia QT.

ALT’s embedded graphics solutions are used in a number of in-vehicle and aftermarket devices by leading automotive device manufacturers such as BMW, Delphi, Ferrari, Fujitsu, Garmin, Magnetti Marelli, and Yazaki. Our products support a range of performance requirements, from systems that utilize a discrete GPU for sophisticated hardware accelerated graphics, to resource constrained devices that render graphics through software alone. We provide device manufacturers with a competitive edge by delivering solutions that support cost-saving functionality such as single processor-based multiple video capture, advanced graphics/video layering, and target area graphics rendering (TAR). Our Development Services group also provides application and device software optimization services to ensure the highest possible performance in resource constrained devices.

Automotive Applications

ALT Software’s products can be deployed in:

  • Instrument clusters and reconfigurable displays
  • Video awareness / multi-view camera systems
  • Object sensors and other safety controls
  • Infotainment systems and center console displays
